Seven descriptive severity levels
Light algae: water remains clear and algae is mainly on the pool bottom.
Lime green: the pool is green, but the bottom remains visible.
Moderate green: the bottom is not visible, although shallow areas may remain visible.
Heavy green: even the shallow bottom is no longer visible.
Severe green: visibility is extremely poor and return fittings may be difficult to see.
Black pool: water is very dark and the interior cannot be assessed visually.
Severe neglect: prolonged neglect, vegetation or cattails around or through the cover, and possible major restoration work.
Important service details
There is no single fixed price for every green pool. The total depends on severity, water condition, equipment, chemicals and the number of visits. Major debris removal, vegetation removal, liner replacement, structural repairs and restoration work are quoted separately where required.
